Former police constable Parshuram Chaturvedi beat former Bihar DGP Gupteshwar Pandey and secured a ticket from BJP for Buxar seat for the upcoming Bihar Assembly elections. Pandey, who joined Nitish Kumar's JD(U) and was intending to contest polls from Buxar seat, was left out from the party's list of 115 candidates. "The DGP is my elder brother," Chaturvedi said.
