Chairing the GST Council meeting for the second day on Friday, Finance Minister Arun Jaitley said that the exemption threshold for GST has been fixed at ₹20 lakh. However, exemption threshold in North-East states would be ₹10 lakh. A trader, whose annual turnover is less than the threshold limit, would not be covered under the indirect tax regime.
