Ex-First Lady of El Salvador jailed for 10 yrs for money laundering

An El Salvador court has sentenced former First Lady, Ana Ligia de Saca, to 10 years in prison for money laundering and ordered her to repay $17.6 million to the government. Her husband, ex-President Tony Saca, is already serving a 10-year prison sentence for corruption. Saca, convicted in 2018, was the first Salvadoran President to be found guilty of corruption.
