Ex-France footballer Jean-Pierre dies after 39 years in coma caused by an error

Former France defender Jean-Pierre Adams has died aged 73, more than 39 years after falling into a coma that was caused by a medical error. In 1982, Adams was administered a near-fatal dose of anaesthesia before a routine knee operation, which caused brain damage. "Paris Saint-Germain offers heartfelt condolences to his family and loved ones," his former club said.
