ECI banned exit polls for Assembly elections in J&K and Haryana from September 18 morning to 6:30 pm on October 5, the final voting day. This aims to ensure that exit poll results don't influence voter behaviour. Further, displaying of election-related content, including poll surveys, on electronic media, is prohibited during the 48 hours leading up to conclusion of elections.
