Former Jammu and Kashmir CM Omar Abdullah has been released after spending nearly eight months in detention following abrogation of Article 370. This comes after charges against him under Public Safety Act (PSA) were revoked. On Wednesday, the Supreme Court told the Centre to release Abdullah soon or else the court will take up his sister's plea against the detention.
