Amid tensions between India and Pakistan after Pahalgam terror attack, Congress urged the central government to oppose the neighbouring nation's loan plea to the International Monetary Fund (IMF). Congress leader Jairam Ramesh said the IMF announced a meeting to consider Pakistan's request for a $1.3 billion loan on May 9. "Congress expects India to strongly oppose this assistance," he said.
