Cutting back on sugary foods may help manage PCOS symptoms because excess sugar can worsen insulin resistance, a key driver of the condition, says dietitian Garima. Better blood-sugar control may support hormone balance and weight management but eliminating sugar entirely isn't required, she added. She further said balanced meals and lower-GI carbs usually matter more for long-term improvement.
