Ex-PM Shastri died a day after signing Indo-Pak peace deal

The second Prime Minister of India Lal Bahadur Shastri died on January 11, 1966, a day after he signed the Tashkent Agreement with Pakistan. However, the reason behind his death is still disputed. PM Shastri was the first one in India to order the use of water jets to disperse crowds instead of using lathi charge and firing.
