A 59-year-old former French policeman wrote a suicide note revealing himself as the serial killer who carried out several murders and rapes in and around Paris in the 1980s and 1990s. The serial killer has been known as 'Le Grêle', meaning 'the pockmarked man', as he remained undetected for 35 years. He was found dead in a rented flat.
