Former TCS CEO Rajesh Gopinathan has been appointed as IIT Bombay's (IIT-B) first Head of Translational Research and Entrepreneurship and Professor of Practice. "A translational research centre to support the transition of IP from lab to industry has also been created recently," IIT-B said. This comes a few days after Gopinathan joined Boston Consulting Group as a senior advisor.
