Eye scans can be a non-invasive method for predicting a person's risk of developing heart disease and determining biological ageing. Scientists analysed retinal scans, genetic data and blood samples from over 74,000 participants. They found people with less branched blood vessels were at high risk of cardiovascular diseases and showed signs of ageing, like higher inflammation and shorter lifespan.
