F1 team Williams use Excel to track and manage nearly 20,000 parts that make up the car. Team principal James Vowles called the build workbook "a joke" and reckoned that it was "impossible to navigate and impossible to update". High cost of switching from a legacy software is believed to be the main reason for its continued use.
