Only two Indian towns meet clean air benchmark

Only two towns in Kerala, Malappuram and Pathanamthitta have met the clean air benchmark of the Central Pollution Control Board. The finding is part of a book brought out by Centre for Science and Environment, after making detailed assessment of 227 cities/towns of India. It also said 78% of these cities/towns have particulate pollution levels exceeding the acceptable standards.
