Some of the largest ocean eddies on Earth are mathematically equivalent to black holes in space, claim professors Haller(ETH Zurich) and Beron-Vera(University of Miami). Their research, published in the Journal of Fluid Mechanics, discovered closed barriers around select ocean eddies in which fluid particles move around in closed loops and As with black holes, nothing escapes from inside these loops.
