Some of Facebook critics have launched their own "oversight board" to review Facebook's content moderation practices. The group, 'Real Facebook Oversight Board', counts among its initial members, heads of three US civil rights groups and the former head of election integrity at Facebook. It plans to hold regular "board meetings", with the first scheduled to be hosted on October 1.
