Facebook, in a response to a committee of UK's Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS), denied allegations that it made claims contradicting its claims to Washington, DC Attorney General. Facebook reiterated that it came to know of the data theft through The Guardian's report. British political consultancy firm Cambridge Analytica had improperly accessed 87 million users' data.
