Facebook has announced that it will remove the 'Trending' section from its platform next week, which was introduced in 2014 to help people discover news topics popular on Facebook. "From research we found that over time people found the product to be less and less useful," Facebook said. The company will instead introduce 'Breaking News' label and 'Today In' section.
