A 47-year-old man from Las Vegas was sentenced to 2.5 years in prison on Monday for sending over 27 million spam messages to Facebook users and disobeying a court order of not accessing Facebook. The spammer was also ordered to pay $310,000 in restitution. Last year, the spammer had admitted accessing about 5 lakh Facebook accounts for spamming.
