Facebook has confirmed that it's working on launching a dedicated news section later this year in the US. This comes after The Wall Street Journal claimed that Facebook is willing to pay up to $3 million per year to news outlets to licence article headlines and previews. Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg spoke about a news section in April.
