Facebook on Thursday announced to open-source the design of its machine learning computer server, Big Sur. The artificial intelligence (AI) algorithms that run on the platform helps Facebook curate a better news feed and work its way through photo and video content, among others. The said design features eight NVIDIA Tesla M40 GPUs, chips that are specifically well-suited for deep learning.
