Factory roof collapse in SEZ kills contract worker

A 36-year-old contract worker, K V Ambareesh, died after a factory roof collapsed during repair work at the old TCL Ceramics building in the SEZ. Ambareesh and his 27-year-old relative Vishnu were changing old asbestos sheets when the roof broke, sending them 25 feet down. Ambareesh suffered severe head injuries and died, while Vishnu was seriously injured.
