Multiple false claims went viral stating that Mumtaz was Shah Jahan's 4th wife, he killed Mumtaz's husband to marry her, after Mumtaz's death, Shah Jahan married his sister-in-law. DFRAC found sources stating that Mumtaz was his 2nd wife. Mumtaz died after giving birth to her 14th child but there is no record of Shah Jahan marrying anyone after that.
