Bihar government on Tuesday approved a proposal to give ₹2.39 lakh each to families of nine 'Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Groups' (PVTGs) in ten districts of the state to build pucca houses. Nine tribes are Ashur, Birhor, Birajiya, Hilkhariya, Korwa, Malpaharia, Parhaiya, Suryapahadia and Sawar. Bihar Deputy CM Samrat Choudhary said money "will be directly transferred to their bank accounts".
