Families paying up to ₹90 lakh for their Gen Z kids to skip a year of college, go on trips

Premium gap years, skipping a year of college for expensive months-long trips around the world, are becoming common among families with Gen Z children, Bloomberg reported. Parents are paying up to ₹90 lakh, more than a year's college fees, for the gap-year trips. They believe they may help strengthen college applications, improve resumes or give their children's careers a direction.
