'Om Shanti Om' writer Mushtaq Shiekh, in his book 'The Making of Om Shanti Om', wrote Farah Khan wanted revealing clothes for background dancers in one of the film's songs. As per Mushtaq, Farah wanted such clothes for authenticity's sake as the song was set in the 70s. "The junior artists rebelled...they'd to cover up all the cleavages," Shiekh stated.
