Farmer asks Karnataka CM to find bride, says 'No one is giving their daughters to a farmer'

During a public grievance meeting, a farmer appealed to Karnataka CM DK Shivakumar for help finding brides. He claimed, "There're men aged 35-40 years who're unable to get married...Despite us having our own house and land, we're not getting...bride." "No one is giving their daughters to a farmer," he said, suggesting families increasingly prefer grooms with government or corporate jobs.
