Farmer earns ₹25 lakh/acre from drumstick, exports to Dubai

Sandip Kadam began drumstick farming in drought-prone Sangola, Maharashtra, as an experiment with 40 plants in 2010 after suffering losses from pomegranate farming. Today, he has 7,000 drumstick trees over 10 acres, each yielding around 60 kg annually. He sells them at an average of ₹60 per kg to wholesalers in India and Dubai, earning ₹25 lakh per acre.
