Farmers in Maharashtra's Akola district have received compensation ranging from ₹3 to ₹21 for crop damage due to excessive rain, reports said. They protested against the compensation received under Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana in front of the Collector's office on Thursday. Protesting farmers also offered to return the money to the government via cheques, Jansatta reported.
