Bharti Kisan Union (Ekta Ugrahan) on Thursday staged a three-hour 'rail roko' protest across the districts in Punjab and raised slogans against the state government. The farmers' union's head demanded that the state government provide ₹200 per quintal for paddy growers as an incentive to not burn stubble or else farmers will be forced to burn crop residue.
