Fathers doing more work at home, contribution rises 300% in nearly 60 years: US study

Fathers of young children are helping more at home, according to US' Institute for Family Studies. Married fathers of young children in 1965 did, on average, less than 10 hours a week of child care or help around the house, it stated. Meanwhile, fathers in 2024 contributed nearly 30 hours a week on average, an increase of approximately 300%.
