Several Facebook and Instagram users claimed their accounts automatically re-followed profiles of US President Donald Trump, Vice President JD Vance and First Lady Melania Trump. Singer Demi Lovato claimed she unfollowed Vance twice in a day. Denying the claims, Meta spokesperson Andy Stone said, "It may take some time for...unfollow requests to go through as these accounts change hands."
