The FDA has approved Bemotrizinol, the first new over-the-counter sunscreen filter in more than 25 years. The advanced UV filter offers broad-spectrum UVA and UVB protection, excellent photostability, and a lightweight finish. Experts say it could improve sunscreen effectiveness, reduce skin irritation concerns, and encourage more consistent daily sun protection.
