Febrile Seizures: Can high fever cause epilepsy?

Many children suffer from seizures due to high fever - causing jerks in their arms and legs. These seizures can make the children rigid or unconscious. They happen due to changes in the brain's electrical activity and may be present in many ways. Febrile seizures can be quite common, occurring in 2-5 per cent of all children across the world.
