Female clones of male mouse created for 1st time

A group of scientists in Japan has created fertile female clones from a male mouse for the first time. They used a CRISPR-based approach to remove the Y chromosome from male cells to create the female clones, according to the research posted on the preprint server bioRxiv. This technique could help rescue endangered species in the future.
