The Supreme Court on Monday criticised West Bengal government over delay in metro rail project in Kolkata. "You told the High Court we have got festivals to arrange and so we can't give police support for constructing...For you, festival is more important than development," the apex court stated. "The project was declared prior to declaration of MCC," the court added.
