FIFA is seriously considering another expansion of the World Cup, with the tournament potentially growing from 48 to 66 teams in 2030, reports have claimed. The proposal, initially pushed by CONMEBOL, is reportedly being taken more seriously by several member federations. The 2030 edition is set to be hosted by Spain, Portugal, and Morocco.
