Reporters Without Borders on Wednesday said that FIFA had granted accreditation to French journalist Christophe Gleizes to cover the World Cup 2026. The 37-year-old was arrested in May 2024 while travelling to Algeria's Kabylie region to report on JS Kabylie, the country's prominent football club. He was later sentenced to seven years in prison after being convicted of "glorifying terrorism".
