The FIFA World Cup 2026 matches across the US, Canada and Mexico could witness dangerous temperatures, a World Weather Attribution study found. The analysis said roughly a quarter of the 104 matches may be played in conditions exceeding safety limits recommended by FIFPRO. Researchers added that around five matches could take place in unsafe conditions where postponement would be advised.
