FIFA is yet to pay the "promised" $1 million (around ₹9.5 crore) payment to several FIFA World Cup 2026 host cities in US, reports said. The payment was described as "legacy contribution", while amount would be used to build mini-pitches and support "social projects". Several cities have reportedly gotten in touch with FIFA regarding the payment but haven't received response.
