All Indian Cine Workers Association (AICWA) has appealed to PM Narendra Modi to impose a permanent ban on the digital and media presence of all Pakistani nationals and entertainment entities in India. AICWA called out the social media presence of Pakistani celebrities like Mawra Hocane, and entertainment outlets. It called the digital re-appearance as "emotional assault" on victims of terrorism.
