New Zealand's Deputy PM announced a shortlist of four flag designs as an alternative to the current flag on Tuesday morning. While three are a variation of the silver fern, one design features an unfurling fern frond. A binding postal referendum to be held between November 20 and December 11 will rank the flags in order of preference.
