The Finance Ministry has reportedly asked government departments to switch to electric vehicles from petrol or diesel-run vehicles while hiring cars for officials in the capital. This comes amid the government's aim to increase electric vehicles to 30% of vehicles on the road by 2030. Earlier, Delhi government also released draft policy proposing subsidies on purchase of e-two-wheelers.
