Delhi Pollution Control Committee (DPCC) has revised the penalty for violating noise pollution norms in the city. Under the new rules, individuals can be fined up to ₹1 lakh for causing noise pollution, with a fine of up to ₹10,000 for noise through loudspeakers/public address systems. Apart from this, people found burning firecrackers in residential/commercial areas will be fined ₹1,000.
