Mumbai civic body BMC will levy fines of up to ₹15,000 for parking vehicles in unauthorised spaces in the city from July 7. The fine could go up to ₹23,250 including late payment penalty and towing charges, an official said. The policy intends to get rid of illegal parking that blocks movements of emergency vehicles like ambulances and fire engines.
