Finland halts work on 2 Google data centres over environmental probe
Finland has ordered work on two Google data centres to be stopped until the mandatory environmental impact assessment is completed. Finland's supervisory agency is investigating if Tuike Finland, a firm representing Google, cleared hundreds of hectares of forest without the mandatory assessment. A Finnish official alleged trees were removed and topsoil stripped for developing the data centres.
