Finland handled heart disease by fixing soil: Ravinder Grover

Ravinder Grover, HarvestPlus COO, shared how Finland, facing the world's highest cardiovascular disease rates in 1970, traced the cause to selenium-deficient soil. The government mandated selenium in all fertilisers in 1984, and within a decade, cardiovascular deaths dropped 75%. He called it proof that farming fields, not just pharmacies, can solve health crises.
