US-based fintech giant Plaid has laid off 260 employees, or about 20% of its workforce, CEO Zachary Perret announced. "Our pace of cost growth outstripped our pace of revenue growth," Perret added. The company will offer 16 weeks of base pay for all departing employees, plus additional weeks for those who have been with Plaid for more than one year.
