FIR filed against Dhamaal makers in alleged ₹1.50 cr fraud case over film rights

An FIR has been filed against ‘Dhamaal’ director Indra Kumar and producer Ashok Thakeria for allegedly defrauding a Mumbai distributor of ₹1.50 crore. Vikas Baldevraj Sahni, owner of the distribution firm, claimed he paid ₹1.50 crore for Dhamaal's permanent worldwide distribution and digital rights. However, the duo allegedly sold its lifetime digital rights to Shemaroo Entertainment in 2015.
