Experiments show that clear ice, shaped in the form of a disk, can be used to create fire. After impurities are removed from an ice slab, it can be melted and smoothed by using the heat of hands. When the piece is held perpendicular to the Sun, the concentration of sunlight on a particular spot results in creation of fire.
